What Is the Honhaar Scholarship?

The Honhaar Scholarship is the Punjab government‘s flagship merit-based scholarship for higher education. Selected students receive 100% tuition fee coverage for the full duration of their undergraduate degree — paid directly to the institution, not as cash in hand.

Key points:

  • Covers full tuition fees for the entire degree (as long as academic standing is maintained each year)
  • Merit-based selection tied to intermediate and matric results
  • 68 eligible disciplines across partner institutions
  • Phase 2 specifically targets students in 3rd to 8th semesters of BS programs and 2nd to 5th year MBBS/BDS students (around 20,000 students)

What Is the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme?

Alongside the scholarship, the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Scheme provides high-specification laptops to selected students. The goal is to remove the technology barrier so students can study, research, and build skills without worrying about affording a computer.
